I have 2 grown children, one lives with me, and one lives in Massachusettes and about to get married in June. I love being a mother, with all the ups and downs, it has been my greatest pleasure in life.

I thought nothing could become challenging cthan rasing 2 children, 2 years apart.
What I came to realize is that the job became tougher as they became adults. Going through middle school and high school, sports, their friends (more drama with my daughter), driving (had to be the worst) boyfriends and girlfriends, heartaches, going to college, now getting married!!! It is a wonder I am not completely exhausted.

I wish I had Onionhead and it's resourses during those emotional times. I know my children would have been more prepared to deal with life's emotional issues. I would have also benefited from them as well.

I am grateful now for the opportunity to know and love our little friend and his wisdom, insightfulness, and strength. I am thankful for the people who bought him into our lives.

Oh yes this is the time of season in which alot of people dont really understand that it is not about gifts, to me its about being together , let the people in your life know that you love them and appreciate them. Instead of gifts we should give our hearts and happiness, You dont have to wait on line to do this or go on the internet to shop, this doesnt cost you anything, hugs and kisses and tell them that they are loved. I choosen the right gift for my family and friends is a warm heart and lots of love and happiness. I open my heart to all and may god bless us all.............

I give my grand children 20 minutes every day when I get home to read a book to them. Or we just talk about what we did that day, I so do look foward to that time it teaches them to appreciate our time together and it makes me feel so good to be part of their daily life.I will never stop giving them my time when ever they want to spend time with me.Time is sometimes good thing.

It is so true , the best gift anyone can give me is the "gift of time". I have a 12yr old son going on 20, everyday its a challenge for me to spend some time with him. From morning hustle and bustle..with breakfast, schoolbag, and "I don't want to wear a jacket" even though it's frigid cold outside, I enjoy this moment as he won't be throwing tantrum going forward in years. Even though I dread getting up early and driving him to Violin lessons weekends or no weekends, I absolutely love the fact that we will be spending quality time as many of you will say, by listening to his music, and him telling me how about going to a diner after the practice. His prespective "I am gonna get chocolate waffle and ice-cream in the morning and mine is "what a beautiful time we are spending together.. Gift of Time is truly a GIFT

So true - the gift of time is most precious, especially to our children. I was fortunate to stay home and raise my children - and I treasured each moment with them. I have the fondest memories of simple times. I also had the pleasure to drive my children to school. I enjoyed watching them run into the school building with their friends. My daughter went to a private High School. In her senior year of college, I drove her to school as well. It was a very precious time for me spending those moments just talking about her days events and college plans. As I look back, I was blessed to be able to stay home with my children, and to me, that was truly a gift of time.
